The test includes:

1. Temperature measurements in accordance with EN 61439-1, 10.10.2 on the individual DEHNshort components
2. Functional test under arc fault conditions in accordance with IEC TR 61641, 8. – Testing the function with low short-circuit current.
3. Functional test of tripping reliability in case of short-circuit disconnections, e.g., by circuit breakers (ACBs and MCCBs) in accordance with EN 61439-1, 10.11.5
4. Functional test under arc fault conditions in accordance with IEC TR61641, 8. - Testing the function with the highest possible short-circuit current
5. Testing the short-circuit withstand capability of quenching device DEHNshort QD in conjunction with low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies in accordance with EN 61439-1, 10.11.5
